Iron Hart Brewing Company First Ever 16 oz Can Release Announcement!
When: Sunday, August 12, 2018, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Where: 10 Enterprise Drive, Carbondale, Pennsylvania 18407
This Sunday, August 12, 2018, our good friends and supporters at the “Iron Hart Brewing” Company will be hosting there first ever 16oz can release! Northeast Pennsylvania has been for better of a lack of a word, “slow” to adopt the craft beer revolution that is sweeping other parts of the state such as the Lehigh Valley. While we are lucky to be within driving distance of such excellent breweries as “Equilibrium Brewing Company” and “Hudson Valley,” locally we do not have many cutting-edge choices. Breweries such as Breaker Brewing Company in Luzerne County have produced some great beer and have been releasing quality cans, but Lackawanna County is still struggling to find its “craft-beer” niche.
One of the first craft brewers in Lackawanna County to really catch any attention was the now-defunct “3 Guys, and a Beer’d”. After several years of success and a series of events that lead to the companies collapse, Head Brewer Matt Zuk decided to fight for the company carrying on under a new, reinvigorated brand known as “Iron Hart Brewing Company.” Despite several setbacks, Matt has continued to persevere, improving the quality of his brews and focusing on a dream of bringing quality craft beer production to Lackawanna County.
This Sunday marks a milestone for “Iron Hart Brewing Company” as they will be hosting there first 16 oz can release in Carbondale, PA. “Iron Hart Brewing Company” will have the following 16oz cans for sale as well as crowlers and drafts of a variety of brewery favorites. What this can release is perhaps best described as the true “relaunch” of the “Iron Hart Brewing Company” brand as they move on to the next level of craft brewing and look forward to new growth and expansion. Matt is a first-class individual who has poured his heart and soul into this company, and we look forward to enjoying his latest releases!
(5.5 ABV / 16 IBU) ($12 / 4-pack of 16-oz cans)-New summer blonde ale based on the simplicity of a bowl of ramen noodles. Brewed with a touch of oats and cascade hops. Nice rounded body, hints of citrus fruit, and fresh grassy notes.
Socks off Sour
(Strawberry Edition) (4.5 ABV/ 15 IBU) ($14 / 4-pack of 16-oz cans)-Kettle-soured ale. Soured for 3 days to give a tart burst up front and a sweet dry finish. Fermented with ale yeast, which offers a nice fruity backbone to help balance out the tart. The beer is then rested on 58 pounds of locally-picked strawberries to provide a forward aroma and sweet-tart berry note at the end.
32oz crowler cans ($15.00 per can) (8.6 ABV/ 12 IBU) A Belgium style golden ale brewed with golden candy sugar, 2 types of Belgium yeast adding a nice spiciness to balance out the sweet finish.
